First trailer and information on EA Sports F1 24 revealed

The game’s main new feature is called Dynamic Handling

EA has revealed the first information on its upcoming racing game EA Sports F1 24.

The game will be released on May 31, earlier than in previous years, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The game’s main new feature is called EA Sports Dynamic Handling, and promises more a more realistic feel.

“Working closely with current World Champion and Champions Edition cover star Max Verstappen, the new EA Sports Dynamic Handling redefines the feel of the car to produce a realistic and predictable performance across wheel and pad,” EA claims.

“All-new suspension kinematics, upgraded tyre model, advanced aerodynamic simulation, and new engine and car setup options enhance the driving experience.

“Cornering, rolling resistance, brake pressure, ambient track temperature, and variable conditions enable drivers to receive immediate feedback to maximise their on-track performance.”

Existing circuits have been enhanced, with EA singling out Silverstone as one of the circuits getting “a significant upgrade to deliver authentic circuit accuracy”.

Other tracks getting updated include Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Lusail International Circuit, and Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The game will also have a revamped Career mode in which players can choose either an up-and-coming F2 racer, a “legendary icon” or a custom character.

“The new handling model, powered by EA Sports Dynamic Handling will enable players to get maximum performance from their car, with authentic physics giving them the confidence in racing wheel to wheel with their rivals,” Codemasters senior creative director Lee Mather said in a statement.

“Our biggest Career innovation since 2016 delivers more of what our players want with greater variety away from the track. Alongside new handling and Career innovations, updated circuits, new audio, and a refreshed broadcast presentation give players the feeling of being closer to the grid.”

The game will be released as a Standard Edition and a digital-only Champions Edition, with the latter givingp layers access to a selection of new team liveries, the addition of James Hunt and Juan Pablo Montoya as Icons, 18,000 Pitcoin, an F1 World Bumper Back, three days of early access and a VIP Podium Pass.
